i guess i've seen succulents before. no, i know i've seen succulents before. but i hadn't become completely enamored with them until i went to visit chancellor on whidbey island a few years ago. there was a planter with a giant, beautiful, succulent succulent. i didn't have a word for it, but knew it was wonderful and wanted it in my life.

when it came time to plan my wedding (!!!!)  there was no question that succulents would be involved. they will be my centerpieces, make up my bouquet, and added ANYwhere else i can stuff them. so, i had to scope out the goods in austin. and boy howdy, there are succulent jackpots all over the place. i was lucky enough to find out we even have a society dedicated to them. i don't think it's a secret society, just a regular society. here are a few of the way too many pictures i've taken. the people at the nurseries think i'm weird, spending hours taking pictures of plants, but joke's on them. i AM weird.
