my sweet baby boy has been with his daddy for the last month, and he's finally home!!! i was beginning to go through some pretty serious withdrawals. had i not had the weekend in between i would've been a sobbing mess rocking myself in the dark corner of my closet at this point.

oh how we love this little boy.

and i absolutely love my two babies together. they're bff's.

i weighed-in this morning at 182! which is a little, tiny, baby loss of 0.8lbs. I worked extra hard for that almost-a-pound  though.

i was doing really well last week considering i wanted to eat EVERYthing in sight. all day. all the live long day. (aunt flow paid me a visit.) this weekend, my cousin was in town for a visit and we celebrated her belated birthday with burgers, brats, and beer. . .  i had a quarter of a burger patty with cheese, a bite of bratwurst, 3-4 bites of grilled chicken, and about 3 gallons of potato salad. oh and a piece of the cookie cake that is yolanda's birthday tradition. that potato salad. . . . there is no resisting it. it's my oma's recipe, and now that she's no longer with us, my mom is in charge of bringing it to family functions. as in required to bring it. she kicks that recipes ass. it's awesome! i might have also had 1 or 3 frozen yummy rum beverages. and a mojito. ok, i think that's it.

that was really my only bad (so good) meal, but i managed to weigh-in at 186 the following day. whoa! a pretty big jump that kinda freaked me out a bit. i jumped right back on track, but i think aunt flow had something to do with the gain in the first place. bitch. at least i slapped down her urges for sweet, baked, goodness. . . oh, wait no. there was that cookie last week. ok, ok, but all this combined does not equal 4 lbs. (at least it shouldn't cause that's not fair.)

even though i only lost 0.8 lbs total, i lost 4 lbs in 3 days. wish i could do that as easily every week. considering i have no idea how i gained that much weight from one bad meal (of cocktails), and then lost it all and then some, i'm not going to fret over any of it. just be pleased with my 0.8 and avoid my mother and her leftovers. . .

chancellor has been making various fabulousness out of cigar bands and boxes and such and he's been recognized in the cigar community!! he drove to houston monday to do an interview with smoke and celluloid's tracy tesmer. he sent her a couple of his custom shirts and an awesome ring (which you can see on her blog), and she loved it and wanted him on her weekly show. he was so nervous about it because it was live, but i think he did an awesome job! he's pretty freakin' hot, too, that little stud muffin.



he's already getting tons more followers on facebook, twitter, and his website, totallystoged.com. orders are coming through, even from germany! all of his work is handmade and original. he does jewelry, cuff links, hats, t-shirts, home decor, and he's always thinking up new ideas. i have a feeling he's gonna be a bit busy here in the coming weeks.


i love his craftiness. and, again, he's really quite handsome. i'm a lucky girl. go check out his stuff and tell me what you think. . . or him. i guess you could tell him too =)

i sat down about 3 hours ago to write a post. pictures are important and as i was sifting through my collection on picasa, i got frustrated because the ones i wanted weren't easily located, or in multiples. like 348 of the same picture, but hidden in random spots. so then i got distracted organizing them.

i have 18, 233 pictures on this computer, according to picasa.

i have about 20 pictures in frames around my house.

i have zero prepared for this post.

what the hell is wrong with me?

my list of "projects i'd like to try" is getting longer, and longer . . . . and looonger. blogland is partly to blame, and pinterest is the other culprit. well, actually, i'm cheap and when i see something i like i say to myself "i can make that." do i? not generally, but the intention is there. it's added to the list.

lately, i've been going through stuff around the house, mainly the kids clothes, and finding a bunch of new stuff that they never got around to wearing before growing like mutant weeds. it's kinda heartbreaking to find a whole pack of 12 month white onesies still in their packaging. pretty sure at some point, i had some grand plan for them that never came to fruition. i instantly had a burst of inspiration upon finding them and decided exactly what i was going to do with them. obviously it wouldn't be for my weeds, so i promptly called my bestie in dallas and figured out the sizes of her munchkins and gathered my supplies. . . .


i found this screen printing ink in tons of colors and pretty cheap at hobby lobby at $2.99 a bottle. you can find them where the fabric paint is located. i wasn't doing any large projects so i didn't feel the need to spend an assload on the large bottles of ink (like chancellor and his lover, Yudu.)



then paint away. or dob. or whatever with your applicator. make sure the ink covers all of the areas thoroughly. i probably could have used a little more ink in some areas.


and i probably could have used a little more heat in this particular spot. my petal fell off after i applied the ink, so i was able to continue without some sort of frustrated melt down after all that cutting.




when you're done, remove the freezer paper.






the bottle says to let the ink air dry for 24 hours before you "heat set" it. i'm impatient and i think i waited 30 minutes. i put a piece of paper down over the inked area and heated the area for a few minutes on both the outside and inside of the shirt. don't skip this step! you could risk all or parts of your image washing out the first time you put it in the washing machine.





wait 72 hours before handwashing your final product. after that it should be machine washable! (otherwise, this project is 100% useless. i mean unless you dry clean your kids clothes. i do not. and if you do, you have a lot of spare time and money you could be sharing with the rest of us laundry slaves.)


i can't wait to send this out for kaylee!!! hope she likes it. now, she's gonna have to wait a bit while i locate those onesies.
