"uh oh mommy!" {a flashback}

1:41 PM

i posted this originally on another blog (wordtoyourmomblog.com) which i've since forgotten about. well, until today. i was reading through a few of the posts and there are some great stories about my cutie patutie cohen. have i mentioned that i freakin' adore him. he's really pretty fabulous.

i don't want this, or any other, story to be lost forever in bloggy land so i figured i might as well share them again. you'll love 'em. this particular one was posted, february 5th, 2010. he was 2 and a half.

around and around and around again.

ever since he started putting the three words uh, oh, and mommy together to form a sentence, i've been on high alert. either you know, or can imagine, how that sentence coming out of a two year old vessel of energy (mixed with ass loads of mischief) accompanied by the boy parts (there's some sort of extra "trouble" in that penis).... well, it's a cause for concern pretty much every time. so you might understand my surprise when

"uh oh mommyuh ohmommy!"

comes from the living room, and upon entering the room, scanning (only the way a parent can, by the way) and taking a quick inventory of all surfaces and breakables. . . well, nothing. he's just standing there. then i notice his slightly demonic eyes as they quickly scan back and forth like he's watching a tennis match on fast forward and try to focus on me. uh? brain malfunction?

"what baby?!"

"your house, your house mommy!"

he points - to nothing. i look for the play-doh in the carpet, or the marker on the walls - yeah, nothing. then before i know it, he's spinning, and twirling, and soon running in circles. ok seriously, my kid suffered some sort of brain trauma while i was out of the room for 30.3 seconds. he gains momentum and speed and runs himself smack into a chair. he grunts at it like "the nerve of that chair to jump out in front of me!" and then turns to me, eyes struggling to look straight ahead at me, and points again at nothing and with a smile says

"uh oh mommy. your house. it won't sit down."

and then busts out laughing and proceeds to spin and twirl and run in circles again. and again. and again. and i counted 537 more times. i love, love, love this dizzy two year old's perspective on life... can't beat it. and i lost about 12 pounds watching him do it.

see, it made you smile.

i like it, being nostalgic. let's post all of my old posts here. well, i'll do the posting, you can do the reading=)
